*Life Update* 6.1.23

Well folks, it looks like I'm going back into the workforce. I officially accepted a position at a company I used to work for before part-time. This gig will be full-time and not at home. AAAAHHHH!!!

Am I nervous about this? ABSOLUTELY!

Did I think I was actually going to get the position? Not really but I was hoping.

Now you might be wondering, how is this going to affect my bookish commissions and relationships I've made online. I still want to continue working with people I've met over the years, especially everyone from the indie horror book community.

I plan on continuing on the commissions and projects I've already committed myself to so please don't worry if we have already talked about your project. But this does mean I have to pull back on my availability to work on stuff once I get started at my new job.

This change is all completely out of my comfort zone but I am so thrilled to be able to learn some new ways on how to sell to such a niche market. I feel the tools I get from this job will only make me more qualified at possibly helping others with marketing themselves and their books. I have fallen in love with working with indie authors and publishers. I would absolutely love to eventually work for a publishing house and/or start my own (?) but for now, I am still building my foundation to improving the skills I already have.

Thank you again to everyone who's given me a chance by working with me, listening to me and giving my ideas a shot. The indie horror book community has been my ride or die and I wouldn't be where I'm at now without it (this is the honest truth). You welcoming me into your world has helped me grow so much. Today, during my conversation with my new employers--they mentioned how they were impressed at how I carried myself now compared to how I used to. I am way more confident in myself, my abilities and how I communicate. You all are a part of that change--trust me..and from the bottom of my weirdo heart, THANK YOU!

Now that I am done rambling on about how awesome I am (ha!) I will always be around. I am still going to design premades, do some commission work and review all the books I can. If you EVER have a question about design stuff, want my advice or opinion--I am here! I love chatting with folks and collaborating so please don't forget about me! (insert nervous laugh).

Thank you again if you made it to this point of my aimless typing. I hope you all stick around as I continue to try and advocate for the indie horror book community while growing professionally. <3

Weirdly Yours,

Kristina aka nw.reader aka TrubornDesign
